Rabbana Dua – 1

“Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka anta As-Samee’ Al-A’leem” [Quran- 2:127]
Translation: “Our Lord! Accept (this) from is. Indeed you are the All Hearing, All Knowing.”
NOTES:

A short, simple yet powerful dua. It was recited by Ibrahim(alaihissalam) and his son Ismail(Alaihissalam), after they completed building The Ka’bah. They made dua to Allah, with utmost humility, to accept their deed. Subhan Allah. It was such a lofty act performed by two of the greatest people on this Earth, by the command of the Lord of the universes.

This powerful dua, made by Prophet Ibrahim(alaihissalam) who is also known as Khaleelullah(The Friend of Allah), is a reminder to the entire Ummah, that however lofty an act you might perform, at the end of the day, it is your humility, your good attitude and your intention of doing it for the sake of Allah, will make your deed, acceptable by the Master.

Building the Ka’bah, was not any normal good deed, just think of it again, BUILDING THE KA’BAH! It was the best deed that could ever be done on the face of this Earth, and yet even after performing such an act, Ibrahim(alaihissalam), who is the “friend of Allah” did not just take it easy, instead he completed his action by asking Allah to accept the deed.

The lesson we need to take from this event is, to not be proud of any of the good deeds you do, instead with a humble heart, a heart of a slave to its Master, ask Allah, to accept it from you. Make it a habit to recite this dua after every good thing you do. Let these duas not just be left with memorization, but make use of their essence, and get their beauty within your life. Fight your ego, let go of the pride and begin making use of this dua, to develop humility and kind traits that’ll bring you closer to Allah.

In sha Allah, by tomorrow you guys will be memorizing this tiny day and start making use of it. I would love to hear from y’all, about your experiences, thoughts and ideas and anything you would like to share.! Eagerly waiting for the amazing replies.

Salam 🙂
