Quran and You:-
With the overwhelming joy of eid there is accompanied a sense of sadness in every believer, as the month of the Quran comes to an end this year!
We will again get back to our old routines with decrease in spirituality. Let us face it, it is not possible for us to have the same highly energised spiritual mode ON all the time. Ramadan is special, shaitaan is chained, doors of heaven are open and hell is closed! But it doesn’t mean that you completely eliminate spirituality from your routine, this month should be a life transformer for you and me! Allah always prefers quality over quantity, so try your best even after Ramadan to continue acts of ibadah, even if the good deeds are small keep them continuous. Don’t completely abandon salah, don’t abandon the Quran. The month of Quran passed by, have you made an improvement in yourself!? Did your relationship with the Quran improve.? Did you take it to the next level.?!?
Reciting Quran is rewarding.
Narrated Muhammad bin Ka’b Al-Qurazi:
“I heard ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud saying: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “[Whoever recites a letter] from Allah’s Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.”
: Hasan (Darussalam)
: Vol. 5, Book 42, Hadith 2910
: Book 45, Hadith 3158
See, the reward is so great (read the hadith, come on). But don’t limit this miraculous book, this book of Allah to just recitation, take a step forward in understanding it! As Allah says :
The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey – then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.
Read the italicised part in the verse, Allah says that Quran is a guidance for the people! It is necessary for us to understand it to be guided. In another place in Quran, Allah says:
Allah made the Quran easy, and Allah Himself is asking if there’s any body who would take the least step to remember Him, so this Eid mark a new beginning in your life, begin your journey with the Quran, to understand it and make a change in your life. Live by the Quran!
So that’s it people. Have a blessed eid! May Allah(Azzawajjal) give you loads of happiness and shower His blessings upon you and ease all your difficulties! Ameen 🙂
