Ramadan Gems-2017

Ramadan Gems (day 12: Do Istighfar)

Do Istighfar :-

Whether knowingly or unknowingly we keep doing sins and the burden of these sins goes so heavy that eventually we lose the blessings of life. Wonder why you feel so depressed and stressed all time?? Wonder why there is no happiness in your life? Wonder why you don’t get what you ask for? Wonder why life is soo messed up??

Then just stop wondering … get onto some action!!! Start seeking for forgiveness from Allah. Allah is Al-Ghaffar, who keeps on forgiving repeatedly!! oh no no no Allah will not forgive me for what I’ve done. How harsh is the punishment of hell and there is no excuse for the sinners. No no no!!! I’m dead ;( Oh just stop thinking that way!!! Allah will forgive you, if you are guilty and sincerely feel bad for what had gone wrong then that’s it do istighfar.

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, “Allah, the Exalted, has said: ‘O son of Adam! I shall go on forgiving you so long as you pray to Me and aspire for My forgiveness whatever may be your sins. O son of Adam! I do not care even if your sins should pile up to the sky and should you beg pardon of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam! If you come to Me with an earthful of sins and meet Me, not associating anything with Me in worship, I will certainly grant you as much pardon as will fill the earth.”‘

[At-Tirmidhi].

See how forgiving is Allah. Moreover doing istighfar will open all your closed doors of opportunities.

Ibn ‘Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “If anyone constantly seeks pardon (from Allah), Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide sustenance for him from where he expects not.”

[Abu Dawud].

Check this link for a beautiful story of Imam Ahmed Hanbal and a baker. You will be amazed how Allah accepts the dua of those who continuously seek his forgiveness.
